IT Project Manager - Hybrid

GovCIO is currently hiring for IT Project Manager to support the planning, developing, and leading of an applicaton development  team. This position will be located near Quantico, VA and will be a hybrid position.

Creates integrated project plans for contract deliverables and new products in development projects. Manages a project team comprised of a multidisciplinary staff. Reviews, manages and controls status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with team members and line managers. Generally reports to a Program Manager.

• Manages the direction of a project through the design, implementation, and testing in accordance with project objectives.
• Helps to define requirements and plans project lifecycle deployment.
• Supervises professional and technical support personnel performing in their regular disciplines.
• Schedules tasks and coordinates with various team members to accomplish the results.
• Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
• Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
• Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking, analysis and reporting.
• Supports program manager with customer deliverable requirements as necessary
• Develop epics, stories, and test cases based on customer identified use cases 
• Monitors the project from initiation through delivery while observing for continuous improvement opportunities
• Organizes interdepartmental activities to ensure the project remains on schedule
• Supports the change management process with request submission, updates, tasks, and follow-on closures
• Provides work assignments and monitors team members during and through task completion
• Provides customer with milestone recommendation and updates
• Provides customer with status updates as required
• Supports conflict resolution process as needed
• Consults and provides recommendations to senior management on significant issues

High School with 9+ years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

• Clearance Required: Secret
• PMP Certification
• 5+ years managing IT projects

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience in Agile-based project management focusing on application development
• Working experience in DevOps projects

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.
