Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for Web Developer II to support the U.S. Navy's Center for Information Warfare Training (CIWT) development of the Cryptologic Technician Interpretive (CTI), Intelligence Specialist (IS) Rate Training Manual (RTM) Update and Senior Enlisted Information Warfare (IW) Training Manual. This position will be in Pensacola, Florida and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities

Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, configures and maintains website(s) and user interfaces for internal and external communications for the company and/or for external customers and clients. Ensures website(s) is available to the desired audience with appropriate links and security. Designs web page layout, graphics, color schemes and infrastructure to maintain a cohesive website based on the organization's communications strategies and goals. Conceptualizes, designs, and implements a web-based user interface based on current technologies and requirements for computer information systems while staying abreast of emerging technologies that will improve the website's experience and functionality. Monitors site traffic and helps scale site capacity to meet traffic demands and performance expectations. Improves the portal's efficiency and designs the look and feel for the site using HTML, JavaScript, and SQL. May require knowledge of the software development life cycle.

  • Collaborates with management, business units and IT department to determine the website's purpose, functions, requirements and long-term strategy.
  • Needs knowledge of web-based user interface development including principles of content organization, site layout, and navigation structure.
  • Develops, assesses and communicates website usage and security policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with software developers, testers, and other members of the system development team on incorporating the interface elements into the information system being built.
  • Troubleshoots and debugs issues that arise with the performance of the website(s) and user interfaces including content, links, order flows, registration flows and transaction logs.
  • Performs backups and ensures user accessibility to the site.

Qualifications

Bachelor's with 2 - 5 years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

  • Clearance Required: SECRET
  • Proficiency with web development tools and processes, including creation and editing of interactive educational materials.
  • Basic knowledge of the PADDIE-M and Navy curriculum development processes and tools. 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience as a member of the Navy Information Warfare Community.
  • Ability to research and refine diverse sources of information and identify obsolete data and conflicts of primary sources.
  • Ability to self-pace development and work within a dynamic team using innovative educational processes, media, and tools.

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $72,000.00 - USD $72,000.00 /Yr.
