GovCIO is currently hiring for a motivated and skilled Application Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in application development, particularly in creating intuitive and user-friendly dashboards. This role requires someone who can effectively engage with users, understand their needs, and develop tailored applications to meet those needs. The Journeyman Software Developer will also be responsible for training users on the applications, providing ongoing support, and resolving any technical issues that arise. Experience in JavaScript, HTML, and Python is essential, with preferred experience working on the Palantir platform. This position will be located in San Antonio, TX and will be an onsite position.
The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining web-based applications with an emphasis on creating interactive and visually engaging dashboards. The candidate will collaborate closely with users to gather requirements and translate them into functional applications. Key technologies include JavaScript, HTML, Python, and other relevant languages. Responsibilities also include providing training and technical support to end-users, troubleshooting software issues, and ensuring seamless application integration in partnership with other developers and IT professionals. The candidate will monitor, test, and optimize applications to enhance performance and user experience while documenting development processes and code. Staying updated on emerging technologies and software development best practices is crucial to contributing to the continuous improvement of the team.
