Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring a Project Coordinator to provide operation and integration support for an international multi-vendor infrastructure, including various networks, systems, and virtual training environment (VTE) vendors. This on-site position with remote opportunities and is located in Tampa, FL. On-site requirements are based on project requirements.

Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT and cybersecurity solutions for international defense clients under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. This role requires strong project management expertise, an understanding of FMS processes, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including foreign governments, contractors, and U.S. defense agencies. The position involves managing multidisciplinary teams, tracking project progress, and ensuring deliverables align with contractual requirements and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution

    • Develops and manages integrated project plans for contract deliverables and new product development initiatives.
    • Defines project requirements, lifecycle deployment strategies, and execution roadmaps.
    • Ensures alignment of project objectives with organizational goals and client expectations.
  • Team & Stakeholder Coordination

    • Leads a multidisciplinary project team, supervising professional and technical staff across various disciplines.
    • Coordinates with internal departments, vendors, foreign government representatives, and U.S. defense agencies.
    • Facilitates interdepartmental collaboration to meet project requirements and milestones.
  • Project Monitoring & Reporting

    • Tracks and reviews project progress, identifying and resolving issues to maintain productivity and quality.
    • Conducts financial analysis, including forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control.
    • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project status, risk mitigation, and intervention as needed.
    • Prepares reports, status updates, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Vendor & Budget Management

    • Manages vendor integration, tracks vendor deliverables, and ensures adherence to quality standards.
    • Develops project budgets and work schedules, overseeing cost estimation and financial controls.
    • Ensures compliance with contract requirements, financial policies, and reporting obligations.
  • Logistics & Administrative Support

    • Arranges logistics for meetings, conferences, training, and other project-related events.
    • Organizes project committee meetings, prepares materials, and documents key decisions and action items.
    • Maintains clear communication channels among project team members and stakeholders.
  • Risk Management & Compliance

    • Identifies and assesses project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
    • Ensures all project activities comply with FMS regulations, cybersecurity standards, and contractual obligations.

Qualifications

High School with 6 - 9 years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

  • Clearance Required: Secret 
  • Must have a valid US Passport and be prepared for international travel up to 40% at customer locations overseas.
  • Experience in IT project management, particularly in defense and FMS environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, vendors, and international partners.
  • Proficiency in project tracking, reporting, and risk assessment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or the ability to obtain it within the first 6 months of employment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • BS Degree and +2  years of relevant experience or HS Diploma +6 years of relevant experience. Specific expertise, education, and training may be considered in place of a degree.
  • PMP certification or the ability to obtain it within the first 6 months of employment.
  • Defense Acquisitions Certification or Full understanding of Federal Acquisitions Regulations and IT Foreign Military Sales management.

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $85,000.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr.
