Financial Analyst

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Financial Analyst to perform audting of travel vouchers in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR), GSA policies, and other internal organizational policies. This position will be located in Sterling, Viriginia and will be an onsite position.

Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and perform the activities noted here:

• Examines, audits, and processes travel documents in accordance with the Federal Travel
  Regulations (FTR), GSA policies, and other Federal regulations.
• Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Assists in analysis of financial and accounting data to solve a wide variety of financial and
  accounting problems.
• Uses standard and specialized reports on automated systems.
• Enters data into computerized accounting systems and electronic spreadsheet applications.
• Has knowledge of finance, accounting, and automated systems.
• Document Management – open mail twice daily, date stamp accounting source documents,
  scan vouchers and assign in accounting system workflow. Direct other documents to
  appropriate staff.
• Intra-governmental Payment and Collection (IPAC) support.
• Secure Payment System (SPS) support.

Associates degree in Accounting and/or specialized courses in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, or other related discipline.

Required Skills and Experience

• Seven (7) years in operation and maintenance of automated financial

  and accounting systems.

• Knowledge of computerized accounting systems, electronic spreadsheets, and word processing software applications.
• Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with customers, including
  followups with program officials when discrepancies are detected.
• Knowledge of applying organization policy compliance to travel payment audits, including reviewing vouchers and matching vouchers to receipts.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat in order
  to perform data entry adjustments as necessary.
• Ability to ensure data integrity.
• Ability to review current operations to recommend improved operations and/or procedures
  and guidelines.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of Concur.gov.
• Knowledge of SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) or SAP S/4HANA. 
• Knowledge of Federal Travel Regulations (FTR).

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.
