Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring a Procurement Specialist to provide support to the Navy’s Fleet Submarine Very Low and Low-Frequency Broadcast Engineering Support team. This position will be located in Charleston, SC and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide System level sustainment and Life Cycle Logistic Sustainment for US Naval Command, Control, surface fleet Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C4ISR) programs and systems for the US Navy
  • Support the Warfighter and the fleet by providing product support and sustainment through Purchase Cards, SAP, SEWP, Task Order, ODC and MILSTRIP purchases in accordance with NIWC Atlantic policies and procedures.
  • Provide logistics oversight and Life Cycle Management related to inventory and procurement through planning analysis and funding acquisitions.
  • Provide baseline advice to Government lead on strategies that support requirements for operational availability and material readiness as applied to PBL product sustainment.
  • Provide advice, examples, and requirements of support concepts in development of logistics strategies for modernization efforts of C4ISR systems deployed fleet wide.
  • Consult and partner with technical specialists on requirements, capabilities, lead times, and cost affecting logistics planning.
  • Monitor progress toward meeting logistics plans and identify impact of delays.
  • Support procurement actions and data analysis associated with end item cost and availability through OEM or registered vendors.
  • Interface and communicate effectively with vendors, customers, peers, and management in order to complete tasking daily.
  • Monitor contractor and vendor progress, costs, and quality of performance on a regular basis.
  • Work with government counterparts to ensure receipt of all contracted material, perform closeout, and assist with final invoicing.
  • Maintain communication with suppliers during the course of procurement action in order to ensure delivery time in compliance with the requirements of the procurement document.
  • Reconcile open purchase orders and ensure all are received, invoiced, and vouchered in a timely manner using CostPoint, Microsoft Excel, and other corporate systems.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)

Clearance Required: Secret 

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 

At least (15) years of experience in purchasing as well as providing administrative, financial, and customer service support including specialized experience in acquisition, procurement, and logistics in a variety of professional settings.

 

Desired Skills: 

 

Costpoint, Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Access, Excel and Outlook), CMPro, Deltek, Cognos, Adobe, Quick books, Oracle, Saleslogix, and Platinum

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $115,000.00 /Yr.
