Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Technical Writer/Copy Editor to provide technical and administrative support services for the analysis, maintenance, and development of training curriculum, courseware, and training systems. This position will be located in Riyadh, KSA and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities

Writes, rewrites and/or edits technical documents and training curriculum courseware and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to in support of the RSNF Educational Support Services (ESS) Program.

 

  • Provide courseware and curriculum development services required to meet RSNF training program objectives.s.
  • Conducts quality review of curriculum courseware, manuals, and related publications.
  • Able to prepare and deliver reports, studies, briefings, and point papers containing findings/results and recommendations for achieving RSNF training objectives and systems hardware support requirements and objectives.

  •  

    Translates complex data into user-friendly text for print and electronic publications, such as technical journals, user and training manuals, government proposals, websites and podcasts.
  • Gathers information through research, statistical reports and interviews with technical staff.
  • Develops cataloging systems, and maintains records, files, electronic media and archiving of information for publications.
  • Assists in preparing material for technical seminars and business forums. 
  • Selects or recommends use of layouts, graphics, drawings, tables, exhibits, illustrations, charts, or storyboards to amplify or clarify publications objectives.

Qualifications

BS with 0-2 years experience

 

Bachelor’s degree in field related to assigned program or position AND a minimum of two (2) years of direct experience in associated functional task OR – five (5) years of military and/or civilian experience in associated functional task.



Preferred Skills and Experience

 

Professional knowledge of Navy Training Management theories, policies, principles, procedures, and techniques.

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $46,770.00 - USD $49,000.00 /Yr.
