Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for Senior Product Manager (Remote). This position is fully remote.

 

Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment is subject to the successful award and funding of the contract.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Product Manager supporting a high-visibility VA contract, this role leads the strategic direction, implementation, and lifecycle management of digital products focused on Veteran Home Loan Guaranty benefits. The position combines product leadership, Agile delivery, and operational oversight across various initiatives. The PM serves as a bridge between VA stakeholders and internal delivery teams, advocating for user needs, ensuring technical alignment, and managing the intake and execution of new workstreams. The ideal candidate brings extensive expertise in Agile methodologies, Feature-Driven Development (FDD), DevOps practices, and low-code/no-code (LCNC) platforms—ensuring that solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned with the VA’s long-term goals. The candidate will collaborate directly with development teams across large-scale enterprise transformation efforts, incorporating DevOps principles such as continuous testing, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and continuous monitoring. Additionally, they foster a culture of continuous learning through coaching, knowledge-sharing sessions, and retrospectives to drive sustained team growth and delivery excellence.

  • Oversee a range of products at different stages of maturity, facilitating delivery across various teams while ensuring contract milestones, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Own the intake and triage process for new work, evaluating feasibility, aligning priorities, and integrating efforts into broader roadmaps and capacity plans.
  • Oversee end-to-end implementation, translating requirements into actionable plans, coordinating across delivery teams, and ensuring timely deployment and operational readiness.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement, serving as the primary liaison between VA leadership, user groups, and internal delivery teams to communicate value, progress, and requirements.
  • Define and track product performance metrics using data-driven insights to guide continuous improvement, warranty planning, and long-term product support strategies.
  • Provide cross-functional leadership, mentoring teams and coordinating efforts across engineering, UX, and compliance to deliver high-quality, user-centered solutions.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's with 15 years (or commensurate experience)
  • Loan Guaranty experience (federal or private sector)
  • Experience providing product management support to a government client
  • Proficiency in taking a vague request to a customer-ready deliverable
  • Experience managing a variety of IT projects, both large and small, and a strong understanding of the complete systems development life cycle and strategic information planning, including agile development and DevSecOps environments.
  • Excellent writing, oral communication, and presentation skills
  • Highly motivated and possesses the ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Works independently, exercising significant discretion in decision-making, with minimal guidance and supervision.


Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Dept. of Veterans Affairs or other federal agency consulting experience

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $190,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.
