Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring an Active Directory Engineer to support our client’s contract needs.  This position is in the Washington, DC area and will be a hybrid remote position

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain user accounts and access to network resources:
    • Administering user profiles in Active Directory and mailboxes in Exchange Online
    • Perform account lifecycle management
    • Apply password reset and access permissions ensuring agency guidelines are followed
    • Manage email distribution lists and security groups
    • Support agency “PIV” (smart card) secure logon
    • Assist with shared file access (traditional server and cloud)
    • Assist with user OneDrive management and troubleshooting
    • Provide regular user and computer reports utilizing PowerShell, AD tools, MCM (Microsoft Configuration Manager), and other agency tools
  • Oversee administration of MFDs (multi-function devices), network printers, and related servers:
    • Manage network print queues, including troubleshooting and resolving queue problems
    • Manage print server drivers and coordinate updates end user workstation print drivers
    • Perform regular firmware updates of MFDs and network printers to address issues, including vulnerability mitigation
    • Manage secure print and scan servers, to include modifications to workflows and vulnerability mitigation
    • Serve as escalation point for customer support and provide coordination with vendors
  • Support AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) environment
  • Support Remote Desktop Servers (formerly known as Terminal Server)
  • Collaborate with senior staff and client to resolve complex problems

Qualifications

Bachelor's with 2-5 years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience managing Active Directory user accounts and groups
  • Experience working with Outlook and shared mailboxes
  • Experience provisioning user workstations and software using MCM or similar tools
  • Attention to detail while creating/modifying/managing a high volume of accounts
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills

Clearance Required: Must be able to acquire and maintain CFTC Public Trust


Preferred Skills and Experience

 

  • Experience managing mailboxes using Exchange Online; creation, deletion, and permissions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2019, 2022 and Microsoft Windows 11
  • Knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, switching and routing concepts, network devices, configuration and topology in client infrastructure

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $62,000.00 - USD $70,000.00 /Yr.
