GovCIO is currently hiring for a proposal writer to join our dynamic team of growth professionals as a proposal writer/analyst. This position will be located in Fairfax, VA and will be a fully remote within the United States position.
Creates compliant and compelling proposal content by thoroughly analyzing the solicitation requirements. Written topics will include mainly leading past performance and personnel topics (including resumes and staffing) but will also include providing support in other proposal areas such as management and quality.
Uses critical thinking skills to iteratively develop content and graphics using best practices such as storyboarding. Delivers required artifacts according to the schedule. Collaborates with other proposal team members to integrate win themes, discriminators, and strengths into assigned written sections. Ensures accuracy of data and alignment of assigned section with overall proposal strategy and messaging. May support creation of oral presentation slides on a variety of topics with oversight. Will serve as a past performance or resume writing lead covering multiple candidates, support management sections with oversight from leads/managers, and serve as peer reviewer for other writers. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's with 2-5 years (or commensurate experience)
Direct experience responding to Government solicitations, RFPs, RFQs, etc.
Proven ability to write compliant and compelling proposal sections in response to Government solicitations in support of a variety of departments and agencies (Federal/Civilian and DoD/IC).
Experience writing and tailoring content for non-technical proposal sections (e.g., past performance, resumes) for a wide variety of IT solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
