Cyber Training & Awareness Specialist

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Cyber Training & Awareness Specialist to develop and deliver programs to educate employees on cyber security best practices. This position will be located in Columbia, MD and will be an on-site position.

Creating engaging content, conduct training sessions, and assess the effectiveness of the training, ensuring optimal performance, to create an effective learning environment. Raising awareness throughout the organization, including remote workers, and educating employees on various threats like phishing, malware, and social engineering. Gathering feedback, analyzing metrics, and identifying areas for improvement or additional support. Manage and enhance the technical aspects of the cybersecurity training platform. Providing technical assistance to users of the platform, addressing issues and ensuring a positive learning experience, tailoring training to different roles and audiences. 

• Delivering training and promoting awareness.
• Gather feedback, analyzing metrics, and identifying areas for improvement or additional support. 
• Work with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and other teams to integrate cybersecurity awareness into existing learning and development initiatives
• Conducts intelligence analysis to assess intrusion signatures, tactics, techniques and procedures associated with preparation for and execution of cyber attacks.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and technologies. 
• Assess employee awareness of phishing attacks, ensuring training aligns with organizational requirements. 

High School with 6 - 9 years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

• Clearance Required:Secret
• 3+ years of experience enhancing user experience, managing training platform accessibility and engagement metrics, and analyzing course feedback to improve content.
• Skilled in user experience, platform management, data tracking, and reporting 
• IAT level II or higher

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.
