Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a VTC Technician. While executing the duties of this position you will provide on-site and remote support for secure and non-secure video teleconferencing (VTC) operations across Department of Defense (DoD) networks. This position supports daily operations of classified/unclassified conferences, including setup, testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting of video and audio systems within Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs), command centers, and conference rooms.This position will be located in OCONUS and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor secure and non-secure VTC systems.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and support classified and unclassified VTCs.
  • Provide Tier I support for VTC codecs, control systems, and peripherals.
  • Perform diagnostics and coordinate with Tier II/engineering support for escalations.
  • Document and track all support activities in ServiceNow.
  • Maintain compliance with DoD cybersecurity and physical security policies and guidelines.
  • Liaise with DISA, JITC, or other DoD entities to ensure connectivity across networks.
  • Coordinate the smooth operation and maintenance of all onsite Multi -Mission Video Display Systems (VIDs) with the onsite AV FSR.

 

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

         Bachelor's Degree and 2-5 years experience 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting AV or VTC systems in a secure or government environment
  • CompTIA Security+ 
  • Familiarity with VTC software scheduling, VTC Bridge, and Cisco VTC endpoints
  • Must have an active TS clearance
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Cisco Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) Collaboration 
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
  • AVIXA CTS certification
  • Familiarity with DoD scheduling tools (e.g. Cisco Meeting Management (CMM), Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM).
  • Experience with audiovisual control systems (Haivision, AMX, Crestron, Extron)

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $61,850.00 - USD $87,089.60 /Yr.
