HR Generalist

GovCIO is looking for a dynamic HR Generalist to join our HR Team to support a variety of HR functions. We're looking for a proactive team player to join us as we seek to grow our HR Team. As an HR Generalist, you will support and work closely with the HR Business Partners. You will act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and external partners. You will meet with Background Investigators and complete a variety of administrative duties to include maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents, and updating internal databases. Our ideal candidate has experience with HR

procedures and can juggle various administrative tasks in a timely manner. Ultimately, you will gain HR experience, and have opportunities for growth in a fast-paced work environment by supporting and improving all HR functions. Our HR Generalist position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. Remote within the US and occasionally required onsite in Fairfax, VA.

• Assists with variety of human resources projects
• Completes paperwork for employment verifications
• Provides clarification to employees on company policies and procedures
• Supports HR Business Partners with administration tasking as needed
• Answers employee’s queries about HR-related issues
• Maintaining internal records, which may include preparing, issuing, and filing company and employee documentation.
• Responsible for processing EOI documentation
• Resolve benefit related issues and respond to queries and requests in a timely manner.
• Assist with annual enrollment.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s with 0-2 years (or commensurate experience)
• At least 1 year of experience working in Human Resources
• Basic knowledge in the functional areas of human resources to include, benefits, leave of absences, employee relations, HRIS Systems, payroll, onboarding, offboarding, recruitment, and talent management
• Strong MS Office experience (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) familiarity with MS SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
• Exceptional attention to detail, ability to prioritize, multitask, time management and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal, verbal in person and phone, and email and written communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
• Ability to provide a high level of customer service, must be approachable and helpful
• Work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant or relevant role

Preferred Skills and Experience

•  Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field and 0-1 years of experience in a similar role
• Hands-on experience with an HRIS system (ADP WorkForce Now) and an ATS (iCIMS)
• Experience working for a Government Contractor
• Experience with data collection and interpretation
• Basic knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and regulations

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
