Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring an Asset Assessment Team Lead to support our with our US Coast Guard program.  This position will be located within Kearneysville, WV and will be a hybrid remote position.

Responsibilities

Develops, implements, and administers financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and government regulations through subordinate analysts. Directs and coordinates activities of personnel responsible for the formulation, monitoring and presentation of Company budgets. Directs compilation of data based on statistical studies and analysis of past and current years to prepare budgets and to justify funds requested. Develops, monitors, and distributes to management essential financial operating reports and forecasts. Responsible for negotiating allowable overhead with government.

  • Supervises the preparation of the consolidated financial statements and all filings for submission to the SEC.
  • Analyzes revenue and expenditure variances relative to the adopted budget and prepares monthly management reports including recommendations.
  • Reviews and analyzes monthly financial statements, and quarterly and annual financial data in support of the SEC filings, as well as preparation of internal management analyses.
  • Coordinates the quarterly review and annual audit and consolidated financial statements with independent auditors.
  • Reviews staff reports relative to their budget impact and works with other managers to resolve problems and discrepancies.
  • Evaluates financial reporting systems, accounting and collection procedures, and investment activities, and makes recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets, and other financial control functions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's with 8-12 years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

 

Clearance Required: Must be clearable up to an active Secret clearance

 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • US Coast Guard experience highly preferred

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $160,000.00 - USD $175,000.00 /Yr.
