eQM ETL/SQL Engineer (Remote)

GovCIO is seeking a highly skilled Electronic Quality Measures (eQM) ETL/SQL Engineer (Remote) to support the management and maintenance of the Veterans Affairs IT infrastructure. This role manages data models and database systems, optimizing storage, retrieval, and implementation processes. This position leads database architecture, resolves advanced issues, and drives performance enhancements. This position will be fully remote located within the United States

• Review code to ensure efficiency and maintain software applications to meet VA's requirements and customer needs.
• Maintain and manage data domains, fostering structured and efficient data organization.
• Oversee daily operations, monitoring processes to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Monitor cybersecurity principles to ensure protection of sensitive data.
• Monitor and optimize database performance from multiple sources, creating unified views that enhance decision-making and insights.
• Develop and refine VistA tables, ensuring ongoing updates and improvements for enhanced usability.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Support both existing and new ETL processes, ensuring seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Facilitate data distribution, optimize accessibility and usability across relevant systems and stakeholders.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for code, processes, and user manuals.

Required Skills and Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field (or commensurate experience).
• 15+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent professional expertise. 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, and other relevant languages.
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Proficiency in Git, Jira, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes. 
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.  
• Certifications in relevant technologies.  

Clearance Required:  Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
