Overview

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, supplies, and equipment. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely movement of materials, and secure handling of sensitive information in compliance with organizational, customer, and regulatory requirements. This position is located at the Subtropolis facility in Kansas City, MO and requires full-time, on-site attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of paper documents.
  • Accurately record and update inventory in the warehouse management system.
  • Move materials throughout the warehouse according to defined processes and procedures.
  • Prepare materials for shipment in accordance with customer and company requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all documents handled.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Ensure proper labeling and storage of materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages promptly.
  • Follow all safety and compliance guidelines, including company policies and OSHA standards.
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.

Work Environment

  • Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pulling/pushing of pallet jacks.
  • Moderate noise level due to equipment operation.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of boxes of documents.

Qualifications



Required Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 year experience
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems; experience with Total Recall Records Management Software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes of documents and materials (up to 50 lbs).
  • Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $25.00 - USD $27.00 /Hr.
