Overview

GovCIO is seeking a highly skilled Journeyman-level Mobile Device Management (MDM) Administrator to support the administration, security, and lifecycle management of mobile devices across our enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing Android and iOS devices within Microsoft Intune, with preference given to those who have supported Department of Defense (DoD) environments. This role requires a proactive, process-oriented professional who takes initiative, strengthens documentation, and brings new ideas to improve mobility operations. This position is located within the United States and will be a fully remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, configure, and maintain Android and iOS mobile devices using Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager).
  • Develop, refine, and enforce mobile security policies, compliance rules, and configuration profiles.
  • Support device lifecycle activities: provisioning, enrollment, troubleshooting, patching, and decommissioning.
  • Implement and maintain automation using Microsoft Graph API and Power Automate.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance MDM strategy, security posture, and user experience.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and operational procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and innovation.
  • Ensure adherence to DoD mobility, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements, including applicable STIGs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

  • Hands-on experience administering Android and iOS devices within Microsoft Intune.
  • Strong understanding of MDM/EMM principles, mobile security, compliance, and policy design.
  • Experience with Microsoft Graph API for automation, reporting, or integrations.
  • Proficiency in creating or maintaining automated workflows via Power Automate.
  • Proven ability to produce clear, accurate, and thorough technical documentation.
  • Strong initiative, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have current and active CompTIA Security+ certification.

Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance


Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience supporting DoD mobility environments or federal MDM operations.
  • Familiarity with Azure AD, Conditional Access, Zero Trust mobile security, and identity-driven device management.
  • Experience working with STIG compliance.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
