Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for an Analytics Engineer (ServiceNow) SME to support a program with the U.S. Coast Guard. This hybrid position is based in Alexandria, VA and requires strong expertise in ServiceNow Performance Analytics and ITSM data integration to deliver actionable insights and operational intelligence. 

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain ServiceNow Performance Analytics dashboards and reports to deliver KPIs, SLA metrics, and operational insights 
  • Extract and analyze ITSM data from ServiceNow to support leadership decision-making and improve service delivery performance.  
  • Automate reporting workflows within ServiceNow to enhance efficiency and accuracy.  
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into ServiceNow dashboard solutions.  
  • Ensure compliance with DoD and USCG data governance standards while managing sensitive information.  
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ServiceNow analytics components and related integrations.  
  • Integrate ServiceNow data with external BI tools or enterprise reporting platforms when required. 

Qualifications

Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience  

 

  • Clearance Required: Active Secret clearance. 
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, etc.).  
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with ServiceNow Performance Analytics, reporting, and dashboard development.  
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow data models, tables, and scripting for custom reporting solutions.  
  • Experience defining KPIs, SLA tracking, and operational metrics within ITSM frameworks.  
  • Ability to integrate ServiceNow data with external BI platforms when required 
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management best practices.  
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. 

 

Preferred Skills and Experience 

 

  • US Coast Guard or DoD experience highly preferred.  
  • Experience with Power BI for supplemental reporting and dashboard migration.  
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (JavaScript, GlideScript) for ServiceNow customization.  
  • Knowledge of REST APIs for data integration between ServiceNow and other platforms.  
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line tools for automation.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $140,000.00 - USD $172,000.00 /Yr.
