Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Journeyman Computer Systems Engineer with foundational experience in BMC TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA) to support implementation, configuration, and maintenance for a mission-critical U.S. Coast Guard program. This position will be located in Kearneysville, WV and will be a hybrid position. 

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, execution, and validation of BMC TSSA platform upgrades  
  • Provide Level 3 support for the TSSA environment, including troubleshooting and resolving complex issues  
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using NSH and PowerShell to streamline server management tasks  
  • Manage and administer the TSSA infrastructure, ensuring its stability and performance  
  • Automate server compliance audits and remediation to enforce security policies  
  • Create and manage patching jobs for both Windows and Linux servers to ensure timely application of security patches  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement TSSA-based automation solutions  
  • Develop and maintain documentation for TSSA configurations, processes, and procedures 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field with 5-8 years (or equivalent expertise). 

Required Skills and Experience 

 

  • Clearance: Active Secret clearance 
  • Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+) 
  • BMC TSSA Expertise: 3-5 years of hands-on experience with BMC TrueSight Server Automation, including implementation, upgrade, and administration.  
  • Scripting: Proficiency in NSH (Network Shell), python, bash, java, and PowerShell scripting for automation and customization.  
  • Patch Management: Extensive experience in server patch management for both Windows and Unix/Linux environments using TSSA.  
  • Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.  
  • Troubleshooting: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex technical issues. 

 

Preferred Skills and Experience 

 

  • Experience supporting DoD or U.S. Coast Guard environments 
  • Database Knowledge: Familiarity with Oracle or SQL Server databases.  
  • Cloud Experience: Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.  
  • DevOps and CI/CD: Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD tools

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $95,000.00 - USD $119,000.00 /Yr.
