Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Business Analyst to analyze and processes and systems, assessing the business model and its integration with technology. This role is a fully remote, U.S.-based position, with core hours of operation Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET. 

Responsibilities

Coordinates with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls. Provides technical/functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, developing, and supporting systems. They have the business knowledge and perspective of a particular business and the IT needs of that customer. Requires knowledge of computer system capabilities, business processes, and work flows. May also be functional experts in financial, program control or logistical areas.

  • Facilitates meetings and Scrum ceremonies, promotes collaboration, removes impediments, guides team self-organization, cross-functionality, and adoption of best Agile/Scrum practices.
  • Coaches the Scrum team in adopting and implementing Scrum framework, including creating and maintaining cost, project schedules, and performance metrics.
  • Identifies and creates risks in Jira and works with the team to monitor, mitigate and resolve risks before they become issues.
  • Collaborates with multiple Product Owners to facilitate communication with team members to foster trust, ensures clear communication to support backlog management and scheduling of relevant sprint reviews and demonstrations.
  • Has a strong understanding in project management and data analysis.
  • Has a strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Has significant experience in analyzing business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with other teams and external stakeholders.
  • Contributes to the development of training materials and assists in presenting them to team members.
  • Must be well versed in life cycle and project management methodologies.
  • Aids in validation and testing of application functionalities to ensure they meet acceptance criteria.
  • Act as interface between solutions architects/developers and stakeholders/users to ensure solution designs meet the needs of the stakeholders/users.

Qualifications

Bachelor's with 10 years; 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for education.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Must have experience working in an Agile environment.

Clearance Required

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Suitability of Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with the use of Jira for product backlog, sprint backlog, sprint ceremonies and solution workflow.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform technologies and SharePoint.
  • Certified Scrum Master.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $81,850.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr.
